BetMGM Partners Up With Professional Fighters League

BetMGM’s Jersey City headquarter came out with a public statement on Wednesday, June 10th, 2021, announcing their partnership with the Professional Fighters League. According to the agreement signed between the two organizations, BetMGM users will now be able to use their mobile app to place wagers on different mixed martial arts events hosted by the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

The first event is the PFL4 event hosted in the Ocean Casino Resort of Atlantic City when betting is authorized. BetMGM has stated that as part of their agreement with the PFL, they will use logos, marks, and PFL VIP events on their wagering platform.

BetMGM is also planning some innovative promotional plans to popularize PFL among its user base. Part of the promotional plans for the PFL4 event includes a complimentary PFL4 wager for real-money betters on BetMGM’s app.

BetMGM was first born out of a partnership in 2018 between US company MGM Resorts International and British iGaming brand Entain(formerly GVC Holdings).

Chief Revenue Officer of BetMGM Matt Prevost mentioned in the statement that BetMGM service is available in ten major US jurisdictions like Virginia, Michigan, New Jersey, and many more. He also announced that BetMGM plans to expand into more jurisdictions by the end of 2021 and make sports betting accessible to more Americans.

Peter Murray, Chief Executive Officer of the PFL, has said that the deal with BetMGM is part of PFL’s plan to give mixed martial arts a global reach. As part of this plan, PFL has already started working with companies like Geico and Anheuser-Busch InBev to broadcast their events worldwide. At present, PFL matches are broadcasted in over 160 countries.

Peter Murray believes that sports betting will add an extra element of thrill and excitement to the PFL4 events. PFL4 starting from June 10th, is set to be jam-packed with action, with sports wagering adding a boost to evenly matched elimination matches.
